Throughout history every civilization that has ever had contact with the horse has imbued it with deep symbolic meaning and thrust it into the very fabric of its mythology. The horse is one of the few things which is universally regarded as esthetically pleasing.
Long before I studied art in collage, I was influenced by da Vinci who was able to capture the raw power and grace of the horse through both anatomical expression and a quality of line.
The powerful form and movement of the horse lends itself to a dramatic and sweeping design which I use to express an inner vision that contains an element of mystery and intrigue.
